We thought we would let you know a little bit about our lovely venue…Not that we are proud or anything!
Set in 3 ½ acres of elegant gardens, which were once wild and overgrown shrub land, we provide accommodation in 43 really good standard bedrooms.
Also, we have five spaces (we hate the words ‘conference’ & ‘banqueting’) which are well equipped, with lots of natural light and more than you would expect from a good standard venue.
Not to forget to our lovely space that we use for our Restaurant which has personality in plenty.
Click on the links below to take a walk through our wonderful venue and if you like what you see then get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

We cannot believe Lazaat has now been open for since 2004 - it feels like only yesterday we opened!
Our story started in 2000, when what was the Norwood Guest House & Cattery (really!) was being auctioned. In reality the site was for all purposes derelict and attracting a lot of inappropriate attention.
In a moment of collective inspiration and madness in equal measures, we decided to bid for the site.
Incredibly we were successful!
The site was purchased, and in late 2000 the work commenced to develop the site into a small Hotel with personality ready to open for 2004.
The process was not without its difficulties and at times very painful!
Because of our complete inexperience and to be honest naivety, many mistakes were made. But we persevered with more enthusiasm and commitment than sense to make it a success.
Fast forwarding fifteen years and it would be fair to say that we have made more than a small impression on our beloved East Yorkshire.
We could mention the hugely successful aspects of our business but that is for you, our reader, and guest, to decide.
Having managed to learn a little more about the hospitality industry we are now embarking on an exciting yet occasionally challenging new chapter in the History of Lazaat Hotel.
We are saying very little, but watch this space, as they say!
